Opus Corporate Finance LLP is pleased to have advised Hanab on its acquisition of Substation Engineering Services (SES), its third UK acquisition this year.

Stafford-based SES has delivered 500+ high-voltage substation projects across the UK over the past 20 years, from 11kV up to 400kV. Together with Green Frog Connect and with support from Hanab Energy Solutions, it gives Hanab a UK platform covering engineering through to installation, commissioning and maintenance, at both distribution and transmission level.

We see specialist delivery capability as one of the real constraints on the UK’s grid build-out – from renewable and battery connections to data centres – and supporting and growing proven teams like SES is one of the fastest ways to add it.

This is Opus’ third recent transaction in the high-voltage grid services sector, following our advice to Hanab on its acquisition of Green Frog Connect earlier this year, and to Three Hills Capital Partners on its investment in Sinewave last year.
