Biography
Malcolm has over 30 years experience advising public and private companies and private equity firms on complex UK and cross-border transactions across a variety of sectors including TMT, Business Services, Consumer and Industrials.
He has extensive public company advisory experience advising both the bidder (UK and overseas) and target on complicated public offers, recommended and hostile, and advising on public to private transactions working closely with management teams and private equity companies.
Malcolm qualified at PwC before spending nine years at Hill Samuel Corporate Finance latterly as a Director focused on a wide range of transactions. He became a senior Director at Credit Suisse focused on cross-border and UK M&A and public company transactions. He joined a venture development company as CFO, which was seeking a substantial London IPO, which gave him a detailed insight into the role and associated issues of being a CFO.
He then joined KPMG as a senior corporate finance partner focused on public company transactions, UK M&A and private equity transactions.
Malcolm joined Matrix Investment Banking as head of corporate finance before joining Opus in 2011.
