John is an experienced, senior banker having worked in London and New York for UBS Investment Bank for 20 years before joining Opus in 2008. He co-heads the Energy & Sustainability team and is active across multiple sub-sectors in Europe on both M&A and fund-raising transactions. Recent experience includes working with a European renewables developer raising capital to pursue an IPP strategy, a European circular economy technology business funding a joint venture with a large German manufacturer, fund raising and M&A in the UK battery storage and biogas markets, and M&A for several software firms involved in energy efficiency and virtual power plants.
John has a degree in Economics from University College London and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
